DAR ES SALAAM – The Confederation of East and Central African Football Association (Cecafa) is set to hold a consultative meeting with the local football’s governing body, Ferwafa, next week in anticipation of Rwanda hosting the 35th edition of Cecafa/ Kagame Cup in Kigali next January.

According to the regional body’s general secretary Nicholas Musonye, Rwanda will be the most suitable venue for the event owing to its good history of organizing such events.

Speaking to Times Sport in Dar es Salaam yesterday Musonye said, "I will be traveling to Kigali next week to meet with the football authority there to see what we can do but in my view Rwanda will be a very good venue”.

They have a very good history and organizing such event” the football administrator said.  Last week, Burundi was fronted as a possible host but Musonye ruled it out saying that they don’t have the facilities to host such event.

Musonye also confirmed the next edition of the Kagame Cup will held in January.

This year’s edition was pushed to July due to the sudden withdrawal of Sudan to host the championship at the last minute and regional club featuring in continental competitions as well as the on going 2010 World/African Cup qualifiers.
