Sunday, August 20, saw Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village packed to the brim as Ibisingizo bya Nyiribiremwa concert came to life, bringing together worshippers from different Christian denominations.
The concert lineup included Josh Ishimwe as main headliner, Alarm Ministries, Christus Regnat, Ichtus Gloria Choir, from ADEPR Nyarugenge's International Chapel among others. The thrilling gospel show was graced by Pastor Desiree Habyarimana who preached about the second coming of Jesus Christ.
It was also attended by some local gospel and traditional artistes including, Aline Gahongayire, Tonzi,Yvan Ngenzi, Pappy Clever and his wife, Ben and Chance, Intore Masamba, Alexis Dusabe, Gabby Kamanzi and comedian Diogene Ntarindwa a.k.a Atome, among others.
Performing a series of his gospel songs of different christian denominations, Ishimwe, backed by other singers, caused the whole venue to become a mass choir as he introduced" Sinogenda Ntashimye" his Kirundi song that brought a state of worship at the concert.
In a refreshing atmosphere of praise and worship, more surprise appearances kept showing up like when Burundian drummers who interchangeably put up a show with their drums, danced and sang gospel music to the amazement of the crowd.
