Female rapper Ciney (Aisha Uwimana) has released a single dubbed ‘Africa’ in which she preaches hard work among Africans in their respective countries. This, she says, is the only channel through which the world’s poorest continent will develop.

The song that has already become a hit on local radio stations is a joint effort with another local rapper, Fireman. It was produced by Trackslayer, the same producer who did her "Igire” single in which she challenged women to desist from over on their husbands or parents.

Ciney told The Sunday Times that the story behind her latest work is to bring Africans together towards working for a common goal.

"In this song, when I talk about African, I do not mean the hills, mountains and country boundaries, but I mean nationals who I call upon to realise that each one`s effort towards success in any undertaking is a contribution towards continental development,” she said.

Ciney said she is working on various projects some of which she intends to accomplish in the next two weeks. Among others, she will be launching a video of her "Igire” single released in July.

Meanwhile, the rapper will next month launch her first debut album dubbed ‘Ndabaga’. The album is loaded with 13 songs of which four have videos. Ciney will be launching her album in a series of concerts scheduled to take place in the four provinces in the country.
