Gishari Integrated Polytechnic School in Rwamagana District was officially unveiled yesterday by Albert Nsengiyumva, the Education State Minister in charge of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET).

The school was built by the Government of Rwanda through the Workforce Development Authority (WDA).

Nsengiyumva said TVET will be a great player in the transformation of Rwanda’s economy through training job makers. He noted that vocational skills are vital for poverty reduction, economic recovery and sustainable development.

Rwanda has steadily increased focus to TVET as part of the broader strategy to address unemployment and skills challenges in the country.
