TNT’s Kabeera gets Best 2013 EAC Reporting Award

The New Times (TNT) reporter Eric Kabeera has walked away with three prizes at this year’s East African Community (EAC) media awards ceremony hosted at the Speke Resort Hotel, Munyonyo yesterday.

The New Times (TNT) reporter Eric Kabeera has walked away with three prizes at this year’s East African Community (EAC) media awards ceremony hosted at the Speke Resort Hotel, Munyonyo yesterday.Kabeera was recognised as the 2013 Best Reporter in East Africa in the political federation reporting, environment and education categories. "I feel extremely honoured to win these awards. I want to recognise all the support of my colleagues and editors at The New Times who have shaped me into who I am today,” Kabeera said. The ceremony was attended by EAC Secretary General Richard Sezibera. Uganda’s Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi was the Guest of Honour.
