Gospel music lovers were last evening treated to a special edition of great Christian music.

For a singer who has been in the music scene not longer than two years, the concert was a huge milestone and success for Josh who was overwhelmed by the love he was shown.

The concert kicked off right on time with revelers looking for a great time at the show, however it turned out to be more than what they expected.

First on stage, Alarm Ministries warmed up the crowd with their angelic voices that the audience seemed to enjoy. They sang some of their well-known songs changing what seemed to be a cold environment to people getting from their seats to dance and praise along the famous choir.

Chorale Christus Regina later took to the stage to perform some of their songs going from slow to fast paced music. The crowd quickly matched the choir’s energy, dancing and singing along. The choir’s president took time to thank Josh for organising a concert that is not based on religion but God, adding that they are planning to do their own concert in November.

After the two choirs had performed, the crowd was very eager to finally get to the part they had been waiting for. Josh came up on stage welcomed by the crowd in cheers and applause as he stepped down to the podium all smiles.

After performing songs he is known for like ‘Roho w’Imana Ngwino’ and ‘Imana Iraduteturuye’ to the cheers and excitement of the revelers, the singer took time to thank everyone, especially elderly people who had come to support him. In tears, he knelt down to give praise to God for the success of his show.

"I didn’t think it would come to this, so many people came through for me and I am just getting started but all this I give thanks to God who made it happen. I am also grateful to my mother who was also my dad. I thank for the man that i am becoming,” he said with tears running down his face.

After performing for a while he left the stage promising the crowd for a part two of his performance. Ichtus choir ADEPR Nyarugenge then came up on stage giving revelers an outstanding performance that got them on their feet dancing along with them. They gave an energetic performance which the audience enjoyed.

More surprise appearances kept showing up like Burundian drummers who interchangeably put up a show with their drums, danced and sang gospel music to the amazement of the crowd.

Josh came back for part two, performing the rest of his songs with the audience standing for the rest of the show. He invited singer Alex Dusabe and other artistes on stage to sing one song with him.

He then called his mother on stage and handed her a gift before joining the audience and dancing with them.

The concert ended at 10:00 pm.
