TodayUganda                vs            KenyaEgypt                     vs            BurundiYesterdayEgypt                     3-0          UgandaRwanda                3-2          KenyaRwanda National Volleyball team has qualified for the last round of the FIVB World Cup qualifiers last round slated for next year.Rwanda hit Kenya 3-2 in their third game of the World Cup Qualifiers to keep the hope of qualifying to the last round.With two wins against Burundi and Kenya, one loss to Egypt and one game in hand to play against Uganda tomorrow, Rwanda has booked a slot in the next qualifying round.Rwanda dominated Kenya in the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-20 as both Lawrence Yakan Guma and Christophe Mukunzi dominated with spikes and services, while Théodore Thiambo and Pierre Kwizera Marshal did great work with blocks to lead Rwanda to the opening two sets.But Kenya came back to win the third and fourth set 25-21 and 25-22 respectively. Kenya’s recovery was led by Phillip Maiyo’s powerful spikes. But it was Paul Bitok’s side, which came on top in the decisive fifth set 15-13.In the other match, Egypt continued their unbeaten run with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22 and 25-16) win over Uganda.Friday is rest day for Rwanda, while Uganda with one win, will meet Kenya, who have lost their first two games, and Egypt meet Burundi, who has lost to Rwanda and Uganda.
