AS part of the long-term agenda of enhancing the technical abilities of local football coaches, Rwanda Football Association (Ferwafa) has organised a ‘High Level’ training course which will be attended by 30 coaches.
The one week course, which started on Monday at Ferwafa headquarters in Remera, is being facilitated by Fifa instructor James Doyen from France.
According to the Ferwafa chairperson Celestin Ntangungira, such courses are an important part of his long term strategy to develop Rwandan football.
He said, "if we are ever going to achieve our objective to develop football, we need to start by training enough coaches because it’s them, who are responsible to help the players to improve their skills.’
"We have some coaches who need more training, we need to give them the minimum required skills to improve the players,” the former international referee noted.
He said the Federation is working hard to improve the skills level of coaches.
