The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has moved to strengthen efforts geared at promoting local exports and attracting investment by sensitising Rwandan diplomats. Clare Akamanzi, the RDB chief operating officer, said this will help the diplomats understand policies and strategies aimed at increasing Rwandan exports and attracting investments into the country better. The five-day training workshop in Kigali is being attended by 27 diplomats, commercial attachés and chancellors.Akamanzi also said the workshop will help the officials understand and focus on sectors with great potential to boost Rwanda’s exports and investments."The training will equip them with knowledge and skills to be able to promote our products and investment potential better when they go back to their duty stations,” she said at the opening of the workshop on Monday."It is important to ensure that Rwanda’s commercial attachés are supported to boost drives to increase exports on international markets and attract investments into the country.”
