Amavubi depart for Cecafa Challenge Cup

Amavubi Stars coach Eric Nshimiyimana has named the final 20-member squad for this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup championships scheduled for November 27 through December 12 in Kenya.The team, which was named on Saturday, heads to Nairobi today.Rwanda will face Uganda Cranes in the Group C opening game at the Machakos Stadium, 60km out of the Kenyan capital, on November 29. Sudan and Eritrea complete the group. This year’s tournament will attract 11 Cecafa member nations and guest side Zambia.Rwanda last won the annual regional tournament in 1999.Full team: Goalkeepers: Jean Claude Ndori, Jean Luc Ndayishimiye and Marcel Nzarora;Defenders: Michel Rusheshangoga, Emery Bayisenge, Mwemere Ngirishuti, Fitina Obalenga, Ismail Nshutinamagara, James Tubane and Abouba Sibomana;Midfielders: Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza, Mohamed Mushimiyimana, Haruna Niyonzima, J.
