It was a battle of talent at High School Idol

ONE Love hotel in Kigali was a scene of beehive activity as students from several secondary schools converged for the talent show dubbed High School Idol on Saturday. High School Idol is an annual event whose core aim is to promote talented Rwandan youth. It’s the brainchild of Daniel Izere, a form five student of SOS Technical School.

ONE Love hotel in Kigali was a scene of beehive activity as students from several secondary schools converged for the talent show dubbed High School Idol on Saturday. High School Idol is an annual event whose core aim is to promote talented Rwandan youth. It’s the brainchild of Daniel Izere, a form five student of SOS Technical School.Lucky winners walked away with prizes at the end of the show. This year’s High School Idol was held under the theme ‘fighting drug use among the youth’. Students exhibited unique talent in art, modelling, dancing and singing among others.Wild cheers from the audience which included parents filled the air as the students performed. The winners walked away with a trophy and cash prizes.A total of 12 schools took part in the event with representation of five students from each school. The event started at 3p.m and ended and 8p.m. The schools that participated include Glory, Secondary School, Green Hills Academy, SOS Technical High School, La Colombiere, Ecole Francaise, A.P.E Rugunga and Gashora Girls.Others were APACOPE, Saint Andre, Riviera High School, New vision High School and FAWE Girls School.
