Right back Michel Rusheshangoga has handed Amavubi Stars coach Eric Nshimiyimana a major boost ahead of the forthcoming Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup after the APR player was declared fit to start training on Thursday.The 19-year-old returns to training after missing out for a week following the hamstring injury he suffered during training before Rwanda’s international friendly against Uganda Cranes in Kampala, which ended 0-0 last weekend.While Rusheshangoga has had a speedy recovery, striker Michel Ndahinduka is still being monitored closely by team doctors, who remain hopeful that the APR forward would too be declared fit to feature in the Cecafa tournament, which starts later this month in Kenya. Nshimiyimana is expected to name his final squad for Cecafa today, a day before the team flies out to Nairobi.Rwanda will face Uganda Cranes in the first game in Group C on November 29 at the Machakos Stadium, located 60km out of Nairobi City.This year’s tourney, which will attract 11 CECAFA member nations and guest side Zambia, will take place November 27 to December 12.After Uganda, Nshimiyimana’s team will take on Sudan before winding up their group stage campaign against Eritrea.
