When were you happiest?

December 12, 2005, when I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management from former Kigali Institute and Technology (KIST), current School of Finance and Banking (SFB).

The saddest moment in your life…

When we lost our single parent in 1993 and I became head of the family.

Most embarrassing moment…

I was in club with my girlfriend and a drunk woman poured an orange soda on my white shirt.

What is your most unappealing habit?

Smoking. I know that it’s awful to both my health and the environment I live in. Unfortunately I’m already addicted and sometimes think I can hardly live without it.

What is your favourite word?

Be blessed. I don’t mind whether I’m telling it to a Born Again Christian or a Muslim. 

The worst job you have ever done?

Let’s keep that a secret.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Acquiring a degree and bringing up my siblings and giving them an education. I’m sure my parents would be proud of me.

What keeps your awake at night?

Responsibilities at home. Honestly, I cannot sleep when I know people at home slept on empty stomacs, or when my siblings have been chased away from school due to lack of school fees.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

To always be ready for any circumstance, and to be patient. Life is full of ups and downs.

Your childhood dream …

To become president.

What is your greatest fear?

Accidents. I don’t fear death, but I instead fear seeing or getting involved in an accident.

Who is your favourite international celebrity?

I have a big list them, and one of them is Lil Wayne (he is among America’s best hiphop musicians).

Your five-year plan…

Building an extraordinary mansion and getting married when all my siblings have finished university.

How do you relax?

I borrow lots of movies from the library and watch them at home. My favourites are the ones based on love stories.

What makes your day bright?

When I have successful accomplished the day’s dealings and acquired some good money to cater for the family.
