They include; As Be Co of Eritrea, Avia Crabbe (Belgium), Rhone Alpes (France) and South Africa’s MTN Qhubeka, which features top Rwanda rider Adrien Niyonshuti.
Team USA Novo Nordisk, who used to participate as Team Type 1, were the first to arrive for the continental race – on Wednesday.
Rwanda’s Kalisimbi, Akagera and Muhabura teams will also relocate to Kigali on Friday from the Team Rwanda’s training camp in Musanze.
Other teams expected to take part in the 2013 Tour du Rwanda edition include; UCI Continental Centre (South Africa), Ethiopia, Egypt, Kenya, Algeria, Gabon, and DR Congo, with most of them expected on Friday.
Last year, Team of Rwanda’s Kalisimbi and Akagera finished in sixth and seventh positions, respectively, while Niyonshuti was the hosts’ best finisher in ninth position in the 894.8km race.
The race was won by Team South Africa’s Lill Daren.
