Fabrice Bahizi (APR), Mugabo Thierry (Nyanza) and William Mudahemuka Songo (Inatek) are the players who have been dropped from the national volleyball team which is preparing to take part in the Zone V Qualifiers tournament in Kigali.The championship is set for November 25 through December 1.The three are not among the 14 players selected by the coaching staff, namely Paul Bitok (head), Jean Marie Nsengiyumva and Elhadj Belgacen.The team, currently undergoing the third and final phase of preparations this week, is in camp at La Pallisse Hotel Nyandungu in Gasabo District, Kigali.The six-day tournament is the second round qualifier that will see two teams qualify for the final qualification round, which will determine the top three teams that will represent Africa at the 2014 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships to be staged in Poland.Five countries, including Burundi, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, and hosts Rwanda will battle it out for the final phase of the qualifying round.Meanwhile, Groupe Officielle de Butare’s right attacker Nelson Murangwa has joined camp after completing senior six national examinations, while professional duo of Yakan Guma Lawrence (Etoile Sportive de Setif) and national team skipper Mukunzi Christopher (El Fanar) are expected in camp today. Players in camp: Fred Musoni, Pierre Kwizera Marshal, Nelson Murangwa, Aimable Mutuyimana, Helve Kagimbura, Fravier Ndamukura, Adolphe Mutoni, Hyango Theodore, Vincent Dusabimana Gasongo, Olivier Ntagegwa, Emile Karera Dada, Bosco Mutabazi, Elie Mutabazi and Theogene Tuyishime.
