Two Rwandans are among 18 referees on the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) list of officials who will handle this year’s regional tournament.Referee Louis Hakizimana and assistant referee Honore Simba will be in action at the senior Challenge Cup tournament, due to kick off on November 27 in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.The list, unveiled by Cecafa secretary general Nicholas Musonye, comprises nine referees and nine assistants.The officials will be taken through fitness and medical tests in Nairobi ahead of the championships, according to organisers.This year’s edition will run from November 27 through December 8.The matches, which will be played at several stadia spread across the country, notably in Nairobi, the coastal city of Mombasa and Machakos, will attract 12 countries within the East and Central African region, as well as two guest teams; Malawi and Zambia.Referees: Anthony Ongwayo (Kenya), Denis Batte (Uganda), Wish Yabarow (Somalia), Israel Mujuni (Tanzania), Louis Hakizimana (Rwanda), Thierry Nkurunziza (Burundi), Waziri Sheha (Zanzibar), Gebremichael Luleseged (Eritrea), and Kheirala Murtaz (Sudan).
