It was all laughter and fun at Kigali Serena hotel Saturday evening, as homeboy Arthur Nkusi treated comedy fans to a dose of genial jokes. The concert dubbed- Comedy.rw Night, started at 9pm with a live performance from Mani Martin. The My Destiny star belted out six tracks, including his hit single, Intero y'amahoro, before wowing the crowd in the audience with his rendition of Miriam Makeba’s Malaika, among others. At around 9:30pm, Mani Martin introduced the main entertainer Nkusi on stage, and boy oh boy, he managed to make the audience giggle until they couldn’t giggle anymore. Nkusi, aka Rutura proved why he has become a force to reckon with in the entertainment industry. The KFM presenter confidently managed to put across hilarious jokes for one hour, mimicking professionals in different fields, such as doctors, teachers, pastors and people’s day to day lives. The jolly comedian, who maintained a smile throughout the performance, literally cracked people’s ribs with his high school escapades.Nkusi was overwhelmed with the turn up for his show and thanked his fans and sponsors for their support."I was at the Serena hotel by 6pm and there was no one in the hall, and I was somehow worried that the show was going to be a flop but I am really happy that people eventually came in and also enjoyed,” Nkusi told The New Times.A few local comedians and artistes also took part in the event. The show ended at 10:30pm with an amazing performance by Active, a local Afro beat group.
